The history of Valencia CF, embodied in artistic murals and with special attention focused on players and the places where they grew up, will be the backbone of the "Valencia CF Urban Art Route" project, which was presented by the VCF Foundation and València Turisme (the tourist department of the Diputació de València), at the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR).
The Director General of the VCF Foundation, Teo Swee Wei, and Valencia CF Ambassador Ricardo Arias participated in the announcement of the initiative. On behalf of the Diputació de València, President Toni Gaspar and Provincial Deputy for Tourism, Jordi Mayor, attended the event.
Mr. Swee Wei stated that "with València Turisme, we want the beautiful Valencian municipalities to become a natural canvas where art linked to the passion and history of the club is reflected."
At the same time, it is about supporting the artistic talent of young Valencians and their DNA in the Valencian towns, where they can express their love and passion for the club, creating an urban museum of Valencia CF throughout the region”.
We want Valencia CF to be a backbone of both passion for the club and the roots of the Valencia region, reinforcing its appeal as a top-level tourist power. It has been so both locally and internationally, with the essential role played by both Valencian footballers by birth and those adopted by the region."
He concluded by saying that "we are sure that this new socio-cultural initiative will come to fruition, because the collaboration between the VCF Foundation and the Diputació de València has already given -and continues to show- success with the Escoles Cor Blanquinegre project for the past seven seasons."
